THE BRILLIANT ROBIN WILLIAMS
Sad as can be, I know I will along with millions of others miss this immensely talented, intelligent and famous comedian. What a tragedy for all especially his family, his wife and daughter and two sons.
Why did he do this people are asking? First depression is a serious illness that unless you have had it you would not know the answer to this question. This happens to millions of people and it could happen to you or I if we do not know what to look for!
Sadly on the same day that Robin Williams tragically decided to take his life 26 Veterans also committed suicide, society is unaware of the effects of these mental illnesses, until the medical profession can find a way to embrace this illness and see it before its to late we will continue to see these events unfolding!
A Veteran who shall remain nameless because he is a member of the same organization I belong to and we have a rule that unless the person gives permission to use their name we are honor bound as Veterans to adhere to the rule of silence.
He has determined animals, yes animals are one of the best treatments for PT SD, which is close to but as they say "no cigar" to depression, the mind is a powerful tool and as Einstein once said, "The mind is more powerful than atomic energy"!
With that I would like to offer a suggestion to Christians and Jews alike, if you believe in god let us make it a day of prayer for those afflicted, seek out our spiritual leaders at church and your synagogue and let us make this a priority, we do not need anymore tragedies like this and if god almighty does not intervene it will continue!!!
